The Canary Islands present a very singular geodynamic area and an immense laboratory for geologists, specialists or amateurs. Due to it’s more than twenty millions of existence it shows complete glance at its evolution history.

The pathway of the “seven Cañadas” bears an excellent opportunity to learn about not only geological history but also about people as this was the main connection between north and south in past centuries, Volcanic structures, rocks of different shape and color, remainders of shepherds accommodation and a unique flora.
The path leads along the crater’s south rim and includes no considerable differences in level. Because of its length, sixteen kilometers, and the time required of about five hours, it is recommendable to carry sufficient water and some food.
